Photos and descriptions, general information and a key for identification to genus. |  Fungi FlipPublished by the University of Tasmania, this is a very handy guide to Tasmanian fungi because it is fairly water resistant and very portable for fungi hunting in the field. It is easy to scan the photos to identify your fungus. Features around 360 colour photos.  A Field Guide to Australian FungiPublished in 2005, this reprint in 2009 contains colour photos and descriptions of over 500 fungus species with information on biology and ecology, illustrated guide to main groups. |  Fungi Down UnderThis book is the Fungimap guide to Australian Fungi and lists the target species for research purposes that the Fungi Mapping Scheme (Fungimap) want to track. There is a later version than the one featured here.  Mycelium RunningMycological guide to the rescue of the planet, covers mycoremediation, cultivation and general information by Paul Stamets. |  Fungi of the South-West ForestsWhilst it is written for Western Australia, the book features many species to be found in Tasmania. The book is a handy size with useful species photos and descriptions. The author Richard Robinson studied and worked in Tasmania and has since moved to the Department of Conservation and Land Management in Western Australia. He did his honours thesis on the polypore Fomitopsis hemitephrum and its actions on Myrtle beech (Nothofagus cunninghamii) and has gained a PhD studying Armillaria ostoyae. |  Tasmanian Mushrooms and ToadstoolsThere have been many changes in the fungal kingdom since this book was published in 1981 so this book is quite out of date, but is still interesting as a collector's item with its keys and descriptive notes to the gilled fungi.
